Event Description:
This workshop only in 2016, seat down one on one with a Metropolitan Water Reclamation Compliance Officer and go through the MBE/WBE Vendor List Registration and Certification Process for your small business.
Established in 1889, the MWRD ( www.mwrd.org) is an award-winning, special purpose government agency responsible for wastewater treatment and stormwater management in Cook County, Illinois. The Office of Public Affairs strives to promote an understanding of the MWRD and its activities by proactively working with local and regional media outlets and stakeholders. In serving as the link between the MWRD and the public, the Office of Public Affairs writes, designs and edits branded brochures, handouts, PowerPoint presentations, fact sheets and other collateral materials. The Office of Public Affairs highlights positive staff activities, achievements, community partnerships and events through print, electronic and broadcast communications, as well as facilitating a strong social media presence. The Office of Public Affairs partners with local municipalities, public and private organizations and the media to develop public outreach programs and opportunities. The Office of Public Affairs participates in community events and coordinates tours of the treatment plants, pumping stations and other facilities.
