Name: CBA, SBDI Monthly Membership Meeting
Date: January 12, 2016
Time: 9:00 AM - 10:30 PM CST
Event Description:
"The Curriculum" How to use data for your small business.

Sebastian James
Father.  Husband.  Nut.

A golfer and sports addict. He served in the Toni Preckwinkle administration as the Deputy Director of New Media for Cook County Government. He has over 20 years of experience in marketing, from the time they called it "direct" to today when they call it "content".

He's a car guy; especially hybrid turbo powered vehicles like that sweet new Volvo XC-90 T8.  Sebastian is a landlord. A graduate of Valparaiso University. A lover of leftovers, as his wife is an excellent cook (true that). In 2011, he graduated from the University of Chicago's Graham School with a Certificate in Integrated Marketing.

Sebastian is a blogger who is safe for public events and dinner parties. He is a lover of the rainbow that is the Johnnie Walker brand (except Red and Gold).  And cigars, don't forget cigars....

Recently he signed up to build CivicBLUE 1647, a civic tech program at BLUE 1647 in Chicago, IL.  The mission of CivicBLUE is threefold. First, CivicBLUE wants to find ways to use civic data in order to teach people about data.  Second, CivicBLUE wants to start a conversation between technologists and the community in order to spark innovation at the neighborhood level.  Third, CivicBLUE wants to find ways to make technology-centric civic engagement more sustainable.
