Presenter: Liz Gardner, Office of Business Diversity of The University of Chicago


Elizabeth Gardner serves as Senior Project Manager, Office of Business Diversity, at The University of Chicago. The Office of Business Diversity works to create opportunities for M/WBE firms to compete for business in the University of Chicago’s goods and services supply chain.
 
Ms. Gardner is responsible for developing and implementing the University’s legacy of inclusion by collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities for entrepreneurs, connect business owners to key decision makers and create sustainable partnerships that will advance continual improvement in the performance of the partner firms.
 
Additionally, the University of Chicago has a strong commitment to the vitality of the city of Chicago and the mid-South Side.  The Office of Business Diversity works to foster a healthy business climate by developing partnerships with south side businesses.  We invite South Side businesses to attend business enhancement workshops and seminar at the University.  This initiative consists of a collaborative effort between various departments on campus.
 

The University of Chicago has a strong commitment to the vitality of the city of Chicago and particularly the mid-South Side of Chicago.  We work hard to foster a healthy business climate by developing partnerships with South Side businesses whenever possible.  Through our South Side Business Development Initiative, the Office of Business Diversity works to develop and build the capacity of minority and women-owned businesses so that they can compete on contracting opportunities. 

Monthly Membership Meeting held by Chatham Business Association, Small Business Development Inc. are held to inform current members and prospective members about issues and activities going on in Chatham and the City of Chicago.  You do not need to be a member to attend.  Breakfast is provided for a small fee.
