Reforming Chicago's Police Department Roundtable
Name:
Reforming Chicago's Police Department Roundtable
Date:
April 5, 2018
Time:
6:00 PM - 8:30 PM CDT
Event Description:
In August 2017, the Illinois Attorney General's Office sued the City of Chicago to seek a court order (known as a consent decree) that will require lasting reform of the Chicago Police Department. The Attorney General's Office is now negotiating a plan to permanently change the policies and training within CPD. To make sure reforms meet the needs of Chicago's communities, the Attorney General's Office is partnering with community organizations to hold Consent Decree Community Roundtables to ensure residents have meaningful opportunity to provide input in this process.
