The Chatham Business Association is working with the Office of Congresswoman Robin Kelly and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) at the Treasury Department to raise awareness about the Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) program.

Under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), enacted as part of the FY21 NDAA, many small businesses are now required to register their “beneficial owners” (individuals who own 25% or more of the company) with FinCEN.

We invite small business owners to join us and hear directly from FinCEN representatives, who will answer questions about how this new requirement will impact small businesses, financial institutions, and law enforcement entities in Illinois.
