This Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Apostolic Church of God, 63rd and Dorchester, Chicago - residents of Cook County will be able to take advantage of a FREE Mortgage Screening service and get an on-the-spot “Pre-Qualifying Letter.” Homeowners who take advantage of free HUD counseling and education services are much more likely to avoid getting a bad home or bad mortgage, and preventing foreclosure begins with education and taking the proper steps.  Genesis in partnership Standard Bank and Trust Company are inviting individuals and families interested in becoming homeowners to come out and participate in this one-day only event and get their spot pre-qualification letter.  Participants may qualify for Down Payment Assistance up to $50,000...  For more information visit the Genesis website: www.genesishdc.org and click on the “First Steps” icon to register!

Sep 25 CBA Micro-lending Day September 2014
 Chatham Business Association has been chosen and trained as an Affiliate Micro-lender by the City of Chicago Micro-lending Institute and will now be able to offer our business community Micro-loans of up to $25,000.00.  If you are a business owner who may have been turned down by a bank, you should come and learn more about the micro lending initiative.  This is a bank supported BUT NOT A BANK RUN INITIATIVE.
