The False Claims Act: Exposing Fraud in Government Contracts - Presenter: Joshua Karsh, Stackholder at the Chicago Law firm Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym, Ltd.

He practices in the areas of labor and employment, civil rights, general commercial litigation, consumer protection, whistleblower litigation, appeals, insurance coverage and all manner of statutory and common law fraud litigation, with a substantial focus on class action and multi-party complex cases. Mr. Karsh joined the firm in 1999. Before joining HSPRD, Mr. Karsh worked at Plotkin, Jacobs & Orlofsky and at the Law Offices of Robert D. Allison & Associates, primarily in the areas of consumer protection, securities fraud, and ERISA litigation.
The Chicago law firm Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym, Ltd. represent whistleblowers in qui tam litigation as well as counsel clients on the employment issues related to being a whistleblower. In addition to representing whistleblowers, they also represent clients in a broad array of complex litigation, including class actions, employment discrimination, First Amendment and other constitutional claims, labor trafficking, wage and hour violations, among others. They are members of the Taxpayers Against Fraud, the leading public interest organization dedicated to combating fraud against the government and protecting public resources through public-private partnerships. Claudia graduated from New York University School of Law and Juliet graduated from Northwestern University School of Law.

Chatham Business Association has been chosen and trained as an Affiliate Micro-lender by the City of Chicago Micro-lending Institute and will now be able to offer our business community Micro-loans of up to $25,000.00. If you are a business owner who may have been turned down by a bank, you should come and learn more about the micro lending initiative. This is a bank supported BUT NOT A BANK RUN INITIATIVE.
