Keneth Munson, Regional Director, Office of the Secretary, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
Topic: "The Affordable Care Act and It's Provisions for Small Businesses"
Kenneth Munson Services Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. Appointed in October 2011. Mr. Munson represents the Secretary in official dealings with State, local and Tribal government organizations, and other external partners in Region V. Prior to Joining HHS, Mr. Munson held positions as deputy secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, president and CEO of Children's Service Society of Wisconsin, and several executive positions in the city of Milwaukee government.
Arnold Romeo, Director of the EQUITY Advisory Council for the City of Chicago, Commission on Human Relations.
Topic: "Chicago Commission on Human Relations Discrimination Laws and Your Business."
In his position, he directs a twenty one member Council made up of Chicagoans who represent the African, Arab, Asian and Latino communities. His work assists these communities to, collectively address, common issues of discrimination.
The Commission promotes appreciation of Chicago's diversity and works to eliminate prejudice and discrimination through education, intervention, constituency building, and through adjudication of City Ordinances. This presentation will focus on how business and landlords can comply with city ordinances related to accessibility and discrimination.
Monthly Membership Meeting held by Chatham Business Association, Small Business Development Inc. are held to inform current members and prospective members about issues and activities going on in Chatham and the City of Chicago. You do not need to be a member to attend. Breakfast is provided for a small fee.
